Timolol
Timolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker. In ophthalmic form, it lowers pressure in the eye by reducing the production of aqueous humor. In oral form, it blocks the action of certain natural chemicals in the body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels, lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

Ophthalmic: Typically, 1 drop of 0.25% or 0.5% solution in the affected eye(s) once or twice daily. Oral: Initial dosage for hypertension is usually 10 mg twice daily. Always follow the specific instructions provided by your prescribing doctor.
